Abstract
This paper describes the development of a material-winding device that automatically winds cut materials (plates). To manufacture a stator for a small axial-flux permanent magnet motor, a narrow and long thin plate must be cut at regular intervals, and the cut material must be wound. A new material winding device was modeled for this purpose, and its structural analysis was performed using SolidWorks software. A material winding device was manufactured based on the design results. The results of the characteristics test of the manufactured material winding device confirmed that it could accurately wind the cut material to manufacture the stator. Therefore, the material winding device developed in this study can be used to manufacture stators for small-axial-flux permanent-magnet motors.
