- Abstract
- 본 연구의 목적은 초등교사들의 교육대학교 총동창회 배구대회 참가 경험과 의미를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한교육대학교 총동창회 배구대회에 참가한 초등학교 교사 5명을 선정했다. 자료는 연구참여자 면담과 연구자의 연구일지를 수집하고 내러티브 탐구 절차에 따라 분석했다. 연구 결과, ‘교육대학교 총동창회 배구대회 이야기’는 연구참여자의 지속적인 대회 참가 이유와 참가 과정에서 겪는 어려움을 분석했다. 첫째, ‘총동창회 배구대회의 지속적인참가 이유’는 ‘교직 문화의 일부’, ‘보석교육대학교만의 아름다운 전통’, ‘교직사회에서 살아가는 방법 학습’으로 나타났다. 둘째, ‘총동창회 배구대회의 부정적 경험’은 ‘수직적 의사소통 구조’, ‘아마추어적 경기 운영’, ‘대회 준비에따른 희생’으로 나타났다. 총동창회 배구대회 참가의 의미는 ‘교직 사회화의 또 다른 창구’, ‘시대에 뒤떨어진 교직문화’로 나타났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 후속 연구를 제언했다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of male elementary school teachers to participate in the alumni volleyball tournament of the National University of Education. To this end, the experiences and meanings of five elementary school teachers who participated in the alumni volleyball tournament of the National University of Education were revealed. The data were analyzed according to the narrative inquiry procedure and interviews with research participants. As a result of the study, the 'story of the alumni volleyball tournament' was explored focusing on the reasons for continued participation in the competition of research participants and difficulties in the process of participating. First, the 'reasons for continuous participation in the alumni volleyball tournament' were 'introduction to the teaching society', 'beautiful tradition unique to the university of education', and 'learning how to live in the teaching society'. Second, 'negative experiences in the process of participating in the alumni volleyball tournament' were 'irregularities due to vertical communication structure', 'operating amateur games that do not fit the form of the competition', and 'sacrifice for preparation for the competition'. The meaning of the experience of participating in the alumni volleyball tournament was 'another window for the socialization of teachers' and 'teaching culture that does not fit with the times'. Based on the research results, a follow-up study was suggested.
