- Abstract
- In this study, an interface board was designed and manufactured to configure the central processing units andvarious electronic devices used in mobile robots. A mobile robot was designed in which an AVR seriesprocessor was connected to the communication interface board of the robot to overcome the incompatibilitiesamong the intercommunication protocols used in the electronic devices. To facilitate the communicationconversion function of the interface board, communication protocols for various inputs, such as analog, digital,and RS-485 inputs, and DC/DC converter circuits supplying the DC voltages 12, 5, and 3.3 V were configured,and Wi-Fi modules were included to facilitate wireless communication functions. Communication experimentsbetween the interface board and central processing unit were conducted. Communication confirmation ensuredsmooth communication of data. Therefore, the designed interface can be used smoothly and applied to configurea mobile robot
