- Abstract
- Through theories and phenomenon-based discussions about convergence education, this study is purposed in examining the need for convergence education in music education and its educational significance, and in proposing the main conditions for the realization of music-centered convergence education. To this end, the researcher of this study has discussed about the educational significance and role of convergence education, from the educational philosophy and educational psychology perspectives; from which, as a result, it was possible to discover that convergence education shares the same vein as the learner-centered education that modern education emphasizes. As a result, the qualification and role of teachers who are trying to apply this in the field with the correct understanding of convergence education have emerged as prerequisites for the realization of music-centered convergence education.
