한우 농가 경영 안정성 분석

Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between farm income changes and management stability changes caused by the changes of Hanwoo breeding numbers and following producer price changes. The coefficient of variation in Hanwoo farm income had decreased before liberalization of beef imports in 2001. However, that is deteriorated after beef imports liberalization especially 2010. The coefficient of farm income variation ranges 0.61~0.81 for breeding farms, 0.31~0.63 for raising farms until 2010. However, it is raised to 6.47 for breeding farms and 0.79 for raising farms after 2010. Especially, the instability of small farm management conditions leads to decrease of small farm ratio and increase of middle/large farm ratio. These changes lower the coefficient variation in the number of Hanwoo and producer prices. This trend implies that policy alternatives should be changed to cope with this changes. We should strengthen the Calf Production Stability Law for breeding farms and need to provide a new policy option for raising farms to stabilize adult cow prices.
