초록

Efforts are continuously being made to reduce air pollutants, such as sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides, emitted from ships among domestic air pollutants, while environmental regulations are also being strengthened internationally. Thegovernment is promoting the development and distribution of environmentally friendly ships. Recently, shipping companies have recognized that using liquefied natural gas bunkering vessels and terminals, and related equipment. In this study, a Failure Mode Effects Analysis was conducted to improve the stability and reliability of a manifold-type semi-block gas valve unit installed inside an explosion-proof enclosure box among various liquefied natural gas-related equipment, following the increasing demand for liquefied natural gas-fueled ships due to ship exhaust gas emission regulations. A plan was established to reduce the Risk Priority Number to less than 100 by taking precautions to lower the occurrence, severity, and detection of Risk Priority Number 100 or more items among the class B and C high-risk failure modes that are difficult to detect. Through this analysis, the severity, occurrence, and detection values were assessed, and as a result, a total of 78 failure modes were identified.
