Abstract

Purpose - The study aimed to determine the specific value created by the BDBA system. explain how the value created by the BDBA system affects the triple-A of the supply chain and assess the effects of the triple-A aspects on supply chain performance and supply chain performance on corporate performance (specifically, on financial and marketing performance). Design/methodology/approach - To address the research questions, a research model was presented based on the literature review and the questionnaire survey was conducted on the top 1,000 manufacturing companies in Korea in terms of size. Findings - Acquisition, storage, and application among big data analysis systems have a positive impact on value creation of the BDBA system. The BDBA system was found to have a positive impact on the Triple-A (agility, adaptability, and alignment) aspects of the manufacturing supply chain. In addition, among the triple-A aspects of the supply chain, agility and alignment have a positive influence on the performance of the supply chain. Lastly, supply chain performance has a positive impact on the financial performance of the firms Research implications or Originality - This is significant because it supports the existing studies that the BDBA system will work positively in the supply chain of the enterprise. The results of this study are similar to those of previous studies in that agility and alignment have a positive effect on supply chain performance. The introduction of the current BDBA system is at an early stage and considering these steps does not yet affect the overall performance of the firm.
