In order to study the emotional characteristics and information dissemination characteristics of netizens on specific events, the paper took the Zhai Tian-lin incident as an example to construct a network environment for the Internet users' emotions through social network analysis method and applied various indicators to characterize the information dissemination network and the netizens' emotions against the network. The impact of institutional characteristics was analyzed. With the rapid development of network technology, online social software has facilitated communication between people. Currently, people could not only find like-minded friends through social software such as WeChat and Weibo but also could express their opinions and attitudes on an event or issue through the platform. Such comments could be forwarded and shared by more users, causing a chain reaction. It is inevitable that when netizens express their feelings, some of them would be more emotional in their comments; in addition, if the event ferments other more unfair things, it is easier for these emotional users to make extreme comments; conversely, some of the netizens could be more rationality to treat things in two parts. These two kinds of emotional expressions would spread virally, thus affecting more people. The occurrence of the Zhai Tian-lin incident has caused netizens to question the academic community Various emotional expressions have also dramatically expanded the impact of the event. From the individual to the school, from the entertainment industry to the academic world, from China to foreign countries, the netizens' fever has been triggered. Discussing and paying attention to the incident, the fast speed of the emotional expressions of netizens and the wide scope of their impacts have also reflected the importance attached by all parties to the incident. Therefore, social network analysis of the emotional expression and related characteristics of netizens in the particular event situation could help understand the relationship between the expression of netizens' emotions and the roles of netizens, thereby comprehend the distribution of specific emotions in the dissemination network as well as the propagation characteristics of netizens.-
