Literature review results show that many researchers have emphasized the importance of residual stress homogenization in the drawing process. However, it is difficult to find research on optimal homogenization of residual stress distribution targeting the tube drawing process from a practical perspective. In this study, the problem of process optimization design for maximizing residual stress homogenization using the combined finite element method (FEM) and optimization technique (GRSM) method is studied from a practical perspective. It is emphasized that even though the thickness is significantly smaller than the outer diameter of the tube, inappropriate process design can cause significant residual stress inhomogeneity. However, pursuing extreme residual stress homogeneity in the tube drawing process inevitably accompanies large deformation. It increases the drawing energy or load and causes problems that amplify the magnitude and inhomogeneity of deformation. It is emphasized that a method that simultaneously considers the goals of residual stress homogeneity, reduced drawing energy or load, and strain homogeneity is a practical method to solve this problem.-
