- Abstract
- This protocol provides a comprehensiveREST APIMGIseqCultivar identificationSoybean method for identifying soybeanSoybeans (Glycine max) cultivars using a combination of advanced genomic and bioinformatic techniques. The process begins with DNA extractionDNA extraction from soybeanSoybeans leaf tissue, followed by MGIseqMGIseq library construction and high-throughput sequencing. The resulting data undergoes rigorous quality control and preprocessing before being mapped to the soybeanSoybeans reference genome. Variant callingVariant calling is then performed to generate a Variant Call Format (VCF) file, which is subsequently analyzed using the web application, VCF2GENOME and the REST APIREST API. The API facilitates the comparison of the sample’s genetic profile with a curated database of known soybeanSoybeans cultivars, enabling accurate identification. This method is designed for researchers, breeders, and seed companies who require high-throughput, high-accuracy cultivar identificationCultivar identification for various applications in soybeanSoybeans genetics, breeding, and seed quality control.
