<하진양문록>의 장편화 전략과 장편여성영웅소설로서의 특징

Abstract

This study examines the narrative strategies of Hajin Yangmunrok and its development into a long-form female hero novel. Unlike typical female hero fiction that focuses on the protagonist’s heroic exploits, this work expands its narrative through the romantic relationship between the male and female protagonists, emphasizing conflict and resolution. While retaining the traditional structure of female hero fiction, it incorporates elements of the family novel, forming a unique composite structure. This study analyzes three strategies: repetition of conflict and reunion, the use of static narrative for emotional depth, and the insertion of a royal marriage subplot to extend the post-union narrative. Through this, Hajin Yangmunrok is identified as a representative example of the long-form female hero novel, achieving a new narrative balance centered on romantic union. It also resonates ethically with contemporary readers and contributes a significant narrative model to the genre.
