- Abstract
- This study entailed the development of a 200 cc small high-pressure composite cylinder, specifically the analysis of the design and stress distribution of the filament winding pattern. The primary objective was to design an optimal winding pattern that satisfies the high-pressure performance requirements and to predict the burst pressure characteristics. The stress distribution and deformation at the design burst pressure were modeled using a theoretical approach based on lamination theory. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element analysis was employed for pattern design and evaluation. The analysis also included the autofrettage-induced stress distribution between the external and internal filament liners. This study established the optimal filament winding patterns for small high-pressure composite cylinders, providing valuable data for future advancements in compact high-pressure containers.
