- Abstract
- When a wound is infected by bacteria, macrophages recognize bacteria and release interleukin 7 receptor alpha chain (IL-7Rα). IL-7Rα released at this time activates T cells and releases IL and other similar proteins to activate various immune cells to remove bacteria. We described the molecular characteristics of PmIL-7Rα identified in red sea bream through NGS analysis and observed the tissue-specific expression of PmIL-7Rα. As a result, PmIL-7Rα showed the highest expression in the spleen among the tissues used in the experiment, and significant expression changes in the gills and kidneys after pathogen infection. We therefore believe that PmIL-7Rα plays an important role in the red sea bream's immune system.
