- Abstract
- The diet composition of Cynoglossus robustus was studied using 1,045 specimens collected in the South Sea of Korea from January to December 2023. Total length (TL) ranged from 8.2 to 41.9 cm. The most important prey item in the diet of C. robustus was Polychaeta, constituting 48.2% of the percent index of relative importance (%IRI). Brachyura and Amphipoda were the second and third most important preys, respectively. The trophic level of C. robustus was 3.23. The mean weight of prey per stomach (mW/ST) increased significantly (one-way ANOVA, P<0.05) as the body size of C. robustus increased.
