- Abstract
- This study introduces an innovative electromagnetic metamaterial absorber (MMA) distinguished by its low-profile, polarization insensitivity (PI), and capability to function across multiple frequency ranges.The MMA unit cell comprises a slotted octagonal metallic patch fabricated on an FR4 dielectric substrate, with a grounded metallic layer at the back, and notably lacks resistive lumped components.Experimental findings illustrate that the proposed MMA achieves absorption levels surpassing 75% for normal incidence over diverse frequency bands, ranging from 2.22 to 2.38 GHz, 6.86 to 7.24 GHz, 11.68 to 12.71 GHz, 14.1 to 14.8 GHz, and 15.47 to 16 GHz. © 2024 IEEE.
