- Abstract
- This study investigates the noise levels and frequency characteristics associated with the cutting of duraluminusing carbide circular saw blades. The noise level increases from approximately 85 dB during idling toapproximately 92 dB during cutting, with peaks reaching 95 dB under overload conditions, particularlyhighlighting the significant increases in the high-frequency noise at approximately 8 kHz. Prolonged exposureto high-frequency noise can lead to hearing loss in humans, as noted in existing literature. To protect thehearing of field experts who set feed rates and monitor overload conditions by listening to sounds, and toenable novices to perform tasks, this study quantifies the expert's process of setting conditions and monitoringthrough frequency analysis. This will contribute to improving the work environment, protecting worker hearingand well-being, and enabling safe and efficient novice operations.
