- Abstract
- This paper describes a device for cutting the material (plate) of a small-axial-flux permanent-magnet motorstator. A cutting device for a small axial flux permanent magnet motor stator has been developed; however, acutting device for a small axial flux permanent magnet motor stator has not been designed. The cuttingdevice comprises a crankshaft, a flywheel, a connecting rod, a vertical-movement device, an upper die, apunch, a lower die, and a motor, which allows a 0.25-mm-thick material to be cut safely. Structural analysisis performed using SolidWorks to design the cutting device; subsequently, the device is manufactured basedon the design. A characteristic experiment is conducted using the manufactured cutting device to cut thematerial, and the results confirmed that the material can be cut accurately. Therefore, the manufactured cuttingdevice is expected to be useful for cutting the material of small-axial-flux permanent-magnet motor stators.
