- Abstract
- This study investigates and analyzes the exterior colors of apartments built in the Sinjinju Station area from 2019 to 2024, identifying recent trends in the exterior colors of apartments in Jinju. The results show the following key characteristics of apartment exterior color schemes in Jinju. 1. Color Characteristics: The primary color of the exterior walls in Jinju’s apartments was mostly in the Y, GY, and G color ranges, while secondary colors were primarily in the PB, B, and BG ranges. Accent colors predominantly consisted of warm tones from the R and YR ranges. 2. Brightness and Saturation Characteristics: Most primary colors were high in brightness and low in saturation, giving a bright and soft impression, while secondary colors were mostly medium brightness and low saturation. This resulted in the exterior walls having a refined and calm overall appearance.
Accent colors had medium brightness and saturation, providing appropriate intensity and contrast. 3. Trends in Exterior Color Changes: The analysis revealed that the exterior colors of apartments in Jinju have maintained a stable trend without significant changes. Since the 1990s, there has been a shift in primary colors from YR to GY ranges, but overall, the color characteristics have remained similar. In terms of brightness and saturation changes, the brightness of the primary colors has increased, while the brightness of the secondary colors has decreased, resulting in clearer brightness contrast between primary and secondary colors. Saturation has remained similar to previous levels.
