Abstract
This paper presents a composite guidance law with impact angle and fiber optic line (FOL) constraints for air-to-surface anti-tank missiles launched from helicopters against moving targets. The guidance law for a long-range anti-tank missile that uses a wired data-linkdatalink system based on the FOL should must consider the FOL interference between the missile and the helicopter’s blades because the FOL disconnection makes it impossible for the missile to obtain the target information. The proposed guidance law generates two types oftwo-type acceleration commands. The first command is to keep the flight-path angle constant to deal with the FOL constraint. The second is to attack the moving targets at a specified terminal impact angle after satisfyingmeeting the switching condition of the specific line-of-sight (LOS) angle. The procedure for calculating calculation procedure for the maximum achievable impact angle is was described for a practical implementation. Numerical simulations were conducted under various conditionswith various conditions are conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed guidance law.
