- Abstract
- Diphenylaminobiphenylated stryl-based alternating copolymers with phenyl or fluorene, which were expected to have terphenylene vinylene backbone containing (N,Ndiphenylamino)biphenyl pendant and phenyl-fluorene-phenylene vinylene backbone containing (N,N-diphenylamino)biphenyl pendant, were synthesized by Suzuki coupling reaction. The obtained alternating copolymers showed good hole injection property due to low oxidation potential as well as good solubility and high thermal stability with high Tg. The obtained alternating copolymers showed blue emission due to adjusted conjugation lengths (max = 460 nm for P(BDAV-alt-EHMB) and max = 487 nm for P(BDAV-alt-DHF)). The maximum brightness of ITO/PEDOT/polymer/LiF/Al devices by using P(BDAV-alt-EHMB) and P(BDAValt-DI-IF) as emitting layer was 250 cdlm2 and 1000 cdlm2, respectively.
