dc.description.abstractThis paper describes the design and fabrication of an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) drivermodule for controlling launcher induction motors. The IGBT driver module converts digital voltage levelswitching signals from a microcontroller into gate control signals for the IGBT. It employs a Half Bridgetype IGBT driver and integrates a PNP (Positive-Negative-Positive) transistor circuit for on/off functionality. Toprotect peripheral devices from surge voltages generated during high-capacity power switching, the moduleincorporates an isolated DC/DC converter and a photocoupler circuit. The fabricated IGBT driver moduleunderwent testing in conjunction with an IGBT module equipped with IGBTs, and experimental resultsvalidated the smooth operation of the driver module. Therefore, the proposed IGBT driver module is suitablefor application in motor controllers for launcher induction motor control.-
