Abstract
This study aims to establish failure assessment criteria for automotive stabilizer links based on the restorationforce of ball joints. By analyzing used field products and measuring rotational torque and lateral play, thestudy evaluates the ball stud's recovery from its maximum sway angle. If the ball stud returns to its originalposition, replacement is necessary; otherwise, it is not. These findings offer clear maintenance guidelines,enhancing the safety and reliability of stabilizer links. The criteria help avoid unnecessary replacements,resulting in cost savings and improved maintenance efficiency. This research significantly contributes to theautomotive industry by standardizing ball joint failure assessment.
