- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the learner’s perception regarding the teaching, cognitive, and social presence on the course satisfaction of university language lectures in the COVID-19 non-face-to-face situation. The differences in the level of presence by each grade were also examined based on the lecture experience. Data for this research were collected from 370 participants. The result revealed that when teaching, cognitive and social presence were high, the level of course satisfaction was high accordingly. In addition, the level of course satisfaction increased with statistical meaningfulness in relation to the year of the students. The fact that the level of the presence in the freshmen was comprehensively low might shed light on the necessity for professors to provide more information and interaction opportunities in non-contact lectures.
