- Abstract
- The authors regret to inform that an error was committed in preparing Figure 2 and Table 2–4 which led to incorrect units and/or values being reported. Accordingly, an updated version of the table shows the corrected values. Statistical analysis of the corrected values showed consistent results with the previous statistical interpretation. Due to this oversight, we have attached the corrected tables and related statements to rectify the errors. We apologise for these errors. Nevertheless, even in the case of young calves (approximately 40 kg) aged 1–3 months before weaning, the blood TP level was found to be 6.3–7.5 g/dL (Earley et al., 2012; Gorlov et al., 2015), and it evidently yielded similar values to those in BS® (higher than the commercial FBS value).[Formula presented] Fig. 2. Protein concentrations in commercial FBS and the FBS substitutes. Treatments are the same as those in Table 1. Different superscript letters represent significantly different means as determined by one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05). Table 2 Analysis of major blood components in commercial FBS and the FBS substitutes. [Table prsented] Treatments are the same as those in Table 1. Data are means ± standard deviation. Different superscript letters represent significantly different means as determined by one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05). Table 3 Free-amino-acid composition analysis of commercial FBS and the FBS substitutes. [Table prsented] Treatments are the same as those in Table 1. Data are means ± standard deviation. Different superscript letters represent significantly different means as determined by one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05). Table 4 Fatty acid composition of commercial FBS and the FBS substitutes. [Table prsented] Treatments are the same as those in Table 1. Data are means ± standard deviation. Different superscript letters represent significantly different means as determined by one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05). The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd
