dc.description.abstractThis study calculated the actual bending and surface pressure stresses of the gears of a differential compound planetary gear reduction system with a high reduction ratio and determined the allowable stress values of the material from an S–N curve. The safety factor was derived by comparing the allowable bending and surface pressure stress calculation results with the allowable stress of the material. A comparison of the allowable stress values of the material and the calculated bending and surface pressure stresses of the gears confirmed that the gears of the differential composite planetary gear reduction system were structurally safe.-
