- Abstract
- Significant resources are being dedicated to developing renewable energy sources to mitigate environmental issues. One such method is thermoelectric power generation, which utilizes the thermoelectric effect. This research aims to conduct a case study to computationally analyze heat transfer. The study investigated the characteristics of the contact surface by altering the thermal contact resistance, heat source temperature, and coolant volumetric flow rate between thermoelectric modules and cooling systems. The research findings indicate that increasing the heat source temperature and coolant volumetric flow rate enhances the impact of alterations in thermal contact resistance on heat flow. In a high-temperature environment, the significance of thermal contact resistance increases. A thermal contact resistance of 10-5 m2 ‧K/W or more significantly affects the heat transfer characteristics. Furthermore, the coolant volume flow rate required for cooling the parts should be between 0.2 to 0.4 liters per minute.
