Abstract
Carbon neutrality policies are expanding worldwide owing to global warming. This study was performed using CFDon the location and environment of the stem to determine the specifications of the spring applied to the pressurerelief valve of the hydrogen tank used in liquid hydrogen electric vehicles. The stem seat and body seat weredesigned in units of 1 mm up to 5 mm. Therefore, the internal flow and outlet environment were less affected in aclosed environment. In the ambient environment, the pressure difference was not affected and the valve temperatureincreased, the density and flow rate changed by the temperature mechanism, and the 1 mm position design wasfound to be suitable. This study shows that there is a flow path suitable for the flow of hydrogen gas.
