- Abstract
- A wideband rose-shaped patch antenna is designed and presented for Sub-6 GHz wireless applications. The antenna consists of a rose-shaped radiating patch and a semi-circular slotted ground plane. The Rogers RT5880 (lossy) material is used as a substrate with a compact size of 20×35×0.79 mm3 to design the proposed antenna. The rose-shaped antenna resonates at 3.19 GHz with a very good reflection coefficient of -;57.27 dB and a large bandwidth of 3.04 GHz (2.7-5.74 GHz). At resonant frequency 3.19 GHz, the antenna shows gain of 2.81 dB, directivity of 2.55 dBi and VSWR of 1.002 which ensures very good impedance matching of the proposed antenna. Due to its compact size, simple structure and well optimized radiation performances, the proposed antenna can be used at various Sub-6 GHz wireless applications. ? 2021 IEEE.
