Abstract
Recently, many construction institutes attempt to develop 4D CAD system to visualize construction schedule data. Current researches for 4D CAD system are focused on the application effectiveness in the construction phase and the methodologies to execute major 4D functions. This study suggests an application procedure and detailed functions of 4D CAD system grouped by each project phase such as planning, design and construction. The major detailed functions grouped by each project phase are verified by a developed system in this study. This application procedure of 4D CAD system through project life cycle can improve the practical application of 4D CAD object.
