- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to compare and investigate Chungsin dance from Donghaean Byeolsingut and Dakachiho Yokagura’s ritual dance. The reasons to select ritual dance, the origin of art is based on ritual. Ritual is a symbolic behavior system to express the nation’s identity by implication while the nation has grown and transmits. In the same context, ritual dance is symbolic pattern of behavior to express the nation’s identity. Especially, the reasons to select Chungsin dance in ritual dance, Chungsin dance is a strict law-observance also, reveals the best ritualizing characteristic than Osin dance or Songsin dance.
The reasons to select both of the dances Donghaean byeolsingut and Dakachiho Yokagura were as follows. At the first, they are all conducting the ritual by worshiping their Ancestros’ sprite. The second is Maeulgut which they pray for tranquility and rich haul and farming in their town. The third, there is a common structure in Chungsin, Osin, and Songsin. The fourth, an angle of cultural diffusionism, prior Kagura is influenced by Dorain, and Kagura is based on Sarukagu influenced by Sandae Japhui of China and Korea. This study stands on field survey. Based on those reasons, discussion will be as follows.
In the second chapter, it inquires into rationale about ritual and ritual dance. In the third chapter, it mentions folk art journal of Donghaean Byeolsingut and Dakachiho Yokagura. It also investigates summarizational understating, procedure, and Chungsin dance. In the fourth chapter, it compared with constitute factors of Donghaean Byeolsingut and Dakachiho Yokagura, and Chungsin dance.
