- Abstract
- "The reliable asynchronous Remote Procedure Call (RPC) is widely employed to realize mobile computing applications. However, the high-end mobile computing applications are interactive in nature, which require integration of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanism between a mobile-client process and the remote RPC process executing at a server. This paper proposes the design and implementation of distributed IPC and RPC mechanisms in an integrated framework supporting interactive mobile applications. The framework offers location transparent, reliable and, scalable IPC/RPC integrated-architecture to the interactive mobile applications. The design of the framework considers mobile-client/server computing model supporting doze mode of operations. Copyright ? 2010 ACM.
