- Abstract
- In this paper, we examine consumers’ preference for processed food products made from domestic ingredients. Data for the analysis was obtained from a web-based survey on 500 housewives those who live in Seoul. The result showed that (i)those consumers who are willing to purchase the products are not associated with their socio-demographic characteristics, (ii)a way for positioning the products is to advertize to consumers the fact that the products are favorable to their family's health, (iii)developing various types of processed food products are important in encouraging consumers to purchase the products, and (iv)labeling and product differentiation policy associated with processed food products should be well designed and implemented.
