- Abstract
- Although many studies have been performed to proliferate e-Learning at the university level, most of the studies have focused on increasing students' e-Learning use. This study identifies reasons why professors do not develop e-Learning coursewares(contents) and what motivates professors to develop their e-Learning coursewares.
The results show that the most important reasons for professors not developing e-Learning coursewares are: don't have opportunities to develop an e-Learning courseware, lack of time to develop e-Learning coursewares, and it is difficult to develop e-Learning coursewares, while the most important motivators for professors to develop e-Learning coursewares are: e-Learning coursewares provide convenience in terms of time and place, my teaching subjects are suitable for e-Learning coursewares, and e-Learning coursewares are an useful educational tool. This study will provide strategic insights for developing effective policies and means to spread e-Learning in the university.
