- Abstract
- This study analyzes the effect of employees' thoughts on ESG on job attitude and organizational trust. In addition, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational trust, and turnover intention based on ESG. For research purposes, this study conducted a mobile survey of 22 items targeting employees of companies. The research results are as follows. First, ESG-related environmental activities and governance activities did not affect job satisfaction, but social movements appear to affect job satisfaction significantly.
Second, environmental and social activities do not affect organizational trust, but governance activities positively impact organizational trust. Third, the results of this study indicate that job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on organizational trust. Fourth, job satisfaction harms turnover intention. Finally, the results of this study suggest that organizational trust had a significant adverse impact on turnover intention. This study confirmed the interrelationship between ESG and job satisfaction, organizational trust, and turnover intention and emphasizes the practical importance of job satisfaction and organizational trust to increase organizational trust. Future research will derive practical implications for establishing a company's strategy through ESG activities by analyzing the firm's type, industry, and size.
