Abstract
Korean governments are experimenting with online approach for promoting technology transfer. Internet-based market for technology has limitations in completing transactions owing to characteristics intrinsic to technologies as subjects of transactions and allows the room for improving its role and function. This paper investigates the performance of the most representative marketplace for technology operating in Korea and explores its obstacles to satisfying the great expectations of stakeholders. The paper reports both quantitative and qualitative evidences through in-depth interview and focus group interview. The concluding remarks focus on management implications to enhance the performances of the Internet-based marketplace for technology. ? IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2012.
