- Abstract
- This study aims to investigate the characteristics and literal images of Gajodo using Social Network Analysis(SNA) that be included in a contents analysis methodology. These days Social Network Analysis is the most popular, rigorous and firm methodology for analyzing, examining and revising concepts or objects in the context of semantics.
The lexical/vocabulary statistics of some concepts reflect paradigms across generations which concerned mutual agreement or matters of concern at that time. Thus, semantic/contents analysis based on the words, vocabulary and key-words should be validated for distinctive reasons.
The main procedure of this research follows several steps. First, data gathering and refining source of the targeted objects must be done. Second, conduct frequency analysis be based on accumulated data. Third, build a data matrix with essential and representative key-words and map the network diagram with some automated statistical programs.
The findings of social network analysis show that there are some critical problems. The images or features of Gajodo are a bit vague and obscure. Also, key-words such as blue tourism are hard to discover. Moreover the local mass communications tend to centralize the overall subject on partial issues.
Based on the this study, it is important that we differentiate the identity of Gajodo as a sustainable regional with its own natural resources and environment. Also mass communication along with an integrated strategy related to public relations management is needed in order to bring effective and efficient results.
