- Abstract
- Lead-free 0.98(Na0.5K0.5)NbO3-0.02LiSbO(3) (hereafter 0.98NKN-0.02LS) ceramics with the addition of ZnO were fabricated by using a conventional mixed oxide method and the effects of ZnO can test on the Electrical properties and the microstructure were investigated. Gradual changes in the electrical properties and the microstructure were observed the increasing ZnO addition. For the 0.98NKN-0.02LS+x mol%ZnO ceramics sintered at 1100 degrees C, the bulk density increased with the addition of ZnO and showed a maximum value at 2.0 mol% of ZnO. The Curie temperature (T-c) of the 0.98NKN-0.02LS+x mol% ZnO ceramics increased slightly with increasing ZnO. The dielectric constant, piezoelectric constant (d(33)) and electromechanical coupling factor (k(p)) increased until small ZnO additions, which might be due to the increased density. A high piezoelectric constant (204 pC/N), electromechanical coupling factor (0.393) and dielectric constant (7138) were obtained for the 0.98NKN-0.02LS+1.0 mol% ZnO sintered at 1100 degrees C for 4 h.
