Abstract
This study was carried out to explore educational direction of language movement. To this end(이를 위해), this study established educational value of language movement, examined the content of education, and then, figured out aspects of educational realization. Language Movement is based on the views that language forms our thoughts - the views are based on language nationalism. This is effective in letting learners be equipped with view of value and the world about national language. Especially in grammar education, this is an educational content proper for learners who want to actively learn our own speech and writings, to take psychological attitude through expansion of cognitive knowing. In the educational curriculum, language movement learns about knowledge on history of language movement, furthermore, intends to develop consciousness on national language of individual learner, aims to cultivate an attitude to implement in language life. As a result of examining four kinds of related textbook, explanation and delivery of knowledge about language movement are well done but activity to cultivate consciousness on national language and attitude related to language movement was deficient. Accordingly, when compiling textbook, it is necessary to not only explain language movement but to organize activities such as discussion, survey, presentation etc. Study on language movement has a meaning in figuring out identity of grammar education as basis of national language education. Through this, possibility of philosophy of national language education can be explored.
