수입 곡물과 국내 주요 곡물가공품간의 가격전이 분석

Abstract

This study analyzes the price transmission between imported grain prices and the major domestic grain processed products. This study deals with wheat, corn and soybean as imported grains and wheat flour, starch, noodles, ramen, soy source, tofu, assorted feed for cattle, hogs, and chicken as nine major domestic grain processed products. This study testifies the data stability based on unit root test and the relationship between price data based on causality test. Based on these tests, we estimate the price transmission elasticities between price data. Furthermore, we check whether there is an asymmetry in price transmission process and verify if there is an adjustment process in short term deviation based on error correction model. The results show that assorted feed prices have higher price transmission elasticities than other products. Also we find asymmetric price trandsmission in all nine products analysed in this study and the short term deviation is negligible in monthly data.
