- Abstract
- Lifestyle and health behavior which have been formed in their twenties such as drinking, smokingand exercising were important to the extent that these could affect the entire health, operating and evaluating the smokingrelatedprogram was essential for the development of wholesome health-related lifestyle before becoming worker. It wasperformed to contribute to the strategy development for the introduction of effective antismoking policy within the campusby considering smoke exposure environment exposed to the college student smoker and their smoking attitude. Methods: It was a descriptive correlation research to understand the relation between college students’ smoking exposureenvironment and their own smoking attitude. A current smoker among two colleges located in K province was targetedfor this research. Structured questionnaires were distributed by the health centers of each college, and the collected datawas analyzed for the descriptive statistic through SPSS, t-test, and Pearson Correlation. Results : There were positive correlationsbetween smoking attitude and interest in health(r=.190, p=.008), smoking losses and recommendation to stopsmoking from surrounding people(r=.263, p=.003), and interest in health(r=.212, p=.003). Conclusion : It showed that thepositive attitude to stop smoking and the active support from family and friends indicates the degree of personal interestin health, and suggests that inducing interest and participation of the object and surrounding people be considered for theproper non-smoking culture.
