- Abstract
- Fe-doped BaCe0.8Fe0.2O3-delta (BCF) ceramic specimens were fabricated by a standard solid-state synthesis route. We investigated the effect of various sintering temperatures, from 1250 to 1450 degrees C, on structural and electrical properties. For XRD analysis, BCF ceramics sintered at 1400 degrees C exhibited excellent perovskite structures. With increased sintering temperatures, AC impedance analysis indicated lower resistance. The electrical conductivity and activation energy showed superior properties; the best values were 5.42 x 10(-4) Scm(-1) and 0.196 eV, respectively, when sintered at 1400 degrees C.
