- Abstract
- Main objectives of the present study are to examine sexual violence experience of women with disabilities and their coping behaviors in Korea. The present study selected a subset of women with disabilities aged between 18 and 64 years old in the 2008 National Disability Survey data for study sample. Both bivariate analyses and multivariate analyses found that disability type, age, marital status, frequency of outing, and perceived discrimination significantly predicted the risk of sexual violence experience of women with disabilities. Three fifths of women with disabilities passively coped with sexual violence, whereas two fifths actively coped with sexual violence.
