The purpose of this study was to examine the cognition of graduates from science core schools about managing science core schools. The subjects were 328 graduates of science core schools, who entered the university in 2013 and 2014. The survey consisted thirty-three items, which were categorized into three components as follows: satisfaction with the management of science core school, effect on career choice, and contribution to university studies. On the survey, graduates from science core schools were asked to answer on 5-point Lickert scales (from 1 to 5) what they thought about managing science core schools according to the above three components. They had very positive cognition about satisfaction with the management of science core school, the effect on career choice, and the contribution to university studies. The results showed that the curriculum and programs of science core schools contributed to their graduates' selection of a school career and to their study of subjects in their departments at their universities. ? 2016, Korean Physical Society.
