‘好不x’의 의미 화용론적 고찰

Abstract

Structure of ‘Hao Bu x’ in contemporary Chinese has continuously drawn attention from linguists, and it has been the topic of discussions in the linguistics world for a long time. According to results of research, the point at issue is whether to consider ‘Hao Bu’ as a component of a sentence or lexicalization. It indicates that nature of ‘Hao Bu’ has a lot to do with meaning of ‘Hao Bu x.’ However, one cannot take ‘x’ combined with ‘Hao Bu’ for granted at a time of discussing the nature of ‘Hao Bu,’ and the meaning of ‘Hao Bu x’ varies according to linguistic environment where a part of speech of ‘x’ exists. Based on the point at issue, the study was focused on describing the origin and the process of development of ‘Hao Bu x’ before attempting to conduct analyses on classification of ‘Hao Bu x.’ Lastly, it explained modus ponens and modus tollens of ‘Hao Bu x’ through pragmatic meaning and examined ambiguity of ‘Hao Bu x’ appearing in the two formats.
