- Abstract
- "This study is a comparative study on the care service support policies of East Asian countries focusing on Korea, China and Japan from the perspective of Community-based Integration Care. The viewpoint of Community-based Integration Care is the way in which elderly people can well in the community where they have lived, and is provided with necessary services under the long-term care insurance system in Japan. In this study, the case study method was used to directly examine the on-site institutes performing local services in each country for the comparison of the three countries in East Asia. This study was conducted on the subject of small-scale multifunctional facilities in Japan, and on the subject of community service (shequ) in China, while it was conducted in Korea comparing the elderly welfare center and home-help service centers with those of the two other countries. The results show first, that in the structural aspect of the organization, various service providers are installed and operating in each country, and their interconnecting and operating methods also differ. Second, in terms of service contents, the three countries are providing basic services in common, and the tendency to re-emphasize the care role of the family is also similar. Third, in the financial aspect, the dependency of local governments on expenditure tends to be high, and Korea shows a difference from that due to the separation of municipalities and insurers. ? 2017 International Information Institute.
