Abstract
The purpose of this study is to interpret the meaning value in the context of Korean language education and to construct educational content of meaning value. ‘Value’ is an important issue in Korean language education. Value refers to the usefulness or importance of the object, and the basic unit of value in the process of communication is a lexical meaning. Meaning value is the subjective judgment and evaluation of the speaker about the object revealed in meaning. If a learner can understand the vocabulary usage mechanism and the process of creating meaning values, he can think deeply about the world and think logically. The implications of the meaning value of Korean grammar education are as follows. The value of meaning extends the interest in various semantic aspects such as implicit meaning and emotional meaning in the lexical significance discussion. It is possible to study integrally and educate meanings, language users, and the world from the trend of studying and teaching the meaning independently. By understanding the complex world using language and valuing to it, we able to confirm the constructive and analytical power of the language. By examining the process of the creation of meaning value, we can search for the way of exploration and active inquiry of the speaker’s use of language. In addition, it could be assumed the status as a mature language user and laid the basis for human growth through language and self-growth of Korean learners.
