- Abstract
- The subject ‘Science Inquiry-Experiment’ was newly introduced in the 2015 revision of national science curriculum in South Korea. Korean high school students should learn the ‘Science Inquiry-Experiment’, which was developed to activate the student-led inquiry activity in high school science. In this paper, we are to suggest the types to teach scientific inquiry for ‘Science Inquiry-Experiment’. The contents of it should have various inquiry activities including investigation, experiments and projects. We suggested three types of module to teach the student-led inquiry activity in consideration of students’ level and school conditions. Type I was the module for inquiry activity of 1 theme per 1 school hour. Type II was the module for inquiry activity of 1 theme per 2 school hours. Type III was the module for project-based inquiry activity. They can be useful for teaching experiment-based scientific inquiry to high school students.
