- Abstract
- The interleaving paper is used in order to prevent the damage which may occur during the processing, carrying and storage of the stainless steel plate. The interleaving paper tends to reduce heat resistance and oil resistance after treatment of rolling oil. The study has been conducted to improve the heat resistance and oil resistance of the interleaving paper. In order to improve the heat resistance and oil resistance of the interleaving paper, refining was performed using a plate with a narrower bar instead of a plate with a wide bar used in a paper mill. It was confirmed that it was more advantageous to use a narrow bar plate with 2 mm instead of 4 mm in bar width. It was most desirable to refine HwUKP up to about 500 mL CSF for improving tensile strength, tear strength, and surface roughness of the interleaving paper after the rolling oil treatment. On the other hand, it must be considered that the treatment of the rolling oil decreased hydrophobic property of the interleaving paper. ? 2019 Korean Technical Assoc. of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
