- Island Arc provides an opportunity for the prompt, international and high-standard publication of research from all fields of solid earth geosciences. Papers which discuss the interaction between the solid earth, atmosphere, and water bodies are also welcome. The journal has a particularly good track record in publishing results of studies related to convergent plate margins and to the Pacific and Asian regions. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed articles and reviews. Original scientific articles, of a maximum length of 15 printed pages, are published promptly with a standard publication time from submission of 8 months. Articles describing new and important results are given priority and will be published a minimum of 4 months after submission. All articles are peer reviewed by at least two researchers expert in the field of the submitted paper.
