산림보호구역 유형별 생태계서비스 특성 차이와 통계적 검증

초록
This study quantitatively analyzed structural differences in ecosystem services across five types of forest protection areas in South Korea: Disaster Prevention, Living Environment Conservation, Landscape Protection, Catchment Protection, and Forest Genetic Resource Reserves. Using the InVEST model, we estimated water yield (WY), carbon storage (CS), habitat quality (HQ), sediment delivery ratio (SDR), and a composite ecosystem service index (CES), and conducted statistical analyses to evaluate differences among protection types. All indicators showed statistically significant variation across the five categories (p < 0.001), with Forest Genetic Resource Reserves consistently exhibiting the highest levels of ecosystem service provision. Results from the Games–Howell post-hoc test further confirmed distinct ecological patterns among protection types. These findings empirically demonstrate that the management objectives and biophysical characteristics associated with each protection category lead to systematic differences in ecosystem service supply. The study provides essential evidence for developing type-specific forest management and policy strategies
